Pint of Science is an international science festival that takes place annually in cities worldwide, during the same three evenings.
This year, the event will occur on Monday, May 19th, Tuesday, May 20th, and Wednesday, May 21st, 2025.
In Switzerland, the festival is hosted in 12 cities, and for the second time, Fribourg is proud to be part of it!
Pint of Science is an opportunity for curious minds to gather in pubs and bars to enjoy a pint while listening to engaging and inspiring talks from local scientists across various fields.
Each evening, two speakers will give accessible and entertaining presentations on topics ranging from biology and medicine to literature, history, and law, similar to the format of TED Talks.
To celebrate Fribourg’s bilingualism and international spirit, we are organizing events in English, French, and German. The goal is to create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere for discussing science while bringing people together in a pub, bar, or café.
