We are delighted to invite you to the first Early Career Reviewer Workshop, organised by the Swiss Statistical Society (https://stat.ch/en/) with support of the Swiss Academy of Sciences. This unique event will be held on January 30, 2025 at UniDistance Suisse, Brig.

This workshop offers a valuable opportunity for early career researchers to deepen their understanding of the scientific publication process, the objectives of peer review and the responsibility of reviewers. Throughout the workshop, participants will gain practical insights on how to approach, plan and organise their first peer review. In collaboration with a psychology journal, we will work with real manuscripts to further develop the participants' skills in writing peer review reports.

Our ECReviewer workshop and accompanying guide are specifically designed to address the statistical components of a manuscript. Additionally, the workshop will highlight ways to incorporate open and responsible research practices into the peer review process.
