Outreach - Science education in Africa

We are actively involved in supporting TReND in Africa in science education and development on the African continent and Tom is the coordinator of TReND's genome editing programme.

We organize Genome editing courses in different African countries (for details, check out our Genome editing course page here) and try to foster collaborations between scientist interested in genome editing worldwide.

We are furthermore establishing RT-LAMP based testing capacities in Cameroon and Ghana as part of an international team including labs in both countries, Vienna, Cambridge, London and Germany. Updates on this project can be found here.
