Target audience
This course is for participants who have completed level A2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Please only register if your level corresponds to the course. Participants of our partner institutions and Unifr employees can contact us to take a placement test if they are unsure of their level. Unifr students are automatically guided to the placement test when registering for a course on MyUnifr.

Target audience
This course is open to all students and staff of the University of Fribourg and its partner institutions.
Course contents and teaching method
The course Grammar (written and spoken) II level B1 offered online (via the MS Teams platform) enables learners to work on the grammar points corresponding to level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
The course is essentially based on practical exercises after grammatical rules have been explained. It tries to offer both written and oral exercises, to be done alone, in pairs or in groups.
You will also find exercises on the computer with built-in correction.
Group, pair or individual work is suggested.
Workload and Evaluation
This course requires regular homework (around 1 hour per week).
To validate the course, you must attend at least 80% of the sessions and pass the exams offered during the semester.
Materials
For this course, you must have in your possession the documents required for the course, which you will find on Moodle.
No textbooks are required.
Goals
The Grammar (written and spoken) II level B1 objective course enables learners to work on the grammar points corresponding to level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
The course is essentially based on practical exercises after grammatical rules have been explained. It tries to offer both written and oral exercises, to be done alone, in pairs or in groups.
You will also find computer exercises with built-in correction.
For each grammar point:
-a grammar sheet containing the essential points of the grammar rule, providing simple explanations accompanied by concrete examples, offering advice, strategies and comments on the French language in context.
-Implementation tools with systematisation exercises and application activities (written and oral).
The spring course in Grammar (written and oral) II level B1 will cover the following grammatical points:
- The place of the adjective: theory and exercises (1 session)
- The adverb: formation and values (2 sessions)
- Adjectives and indefinite pronouns: each / some / all / none / some - several / some / others / each / none / something / somewhere (1 session)
- Pronominal verbs and pronominal constructions in the present and past tense (se coucher, se battre, s'amuser,...) (1 session)
- The gerund (1 session)
- Le discours rapport au présent (expressions de temps / verbes introducteurs) (1 session)
- Reported speech in the past tense (2 sessions)
- The passive voice (1 session)
