Matus Medo awarded for SNF research grant
The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF) has awarded Matus Medo with a research grant for the project Improved tools for fitting mutational signatures. The project aims to study mutational signatures which are distinct patterns of mutations in the genome, footprints of biological processes or past exposures to specific carcinogens. The official start is on May 1, 2025.
Change of Leadership
In keeping with the center’s practice of rotating leadership among its founding members, a management transition is scheduled for 2025: Matus Medo will succeed Berno Buechel as Director."
Board Meeting
On February 13th, 2025, the Center members Prof. Yi-Cheng Zhang, Prof. Berno Büchel, Prof. Claudio Tessone and Dr. Matus Medo met to discuss the development of the centre and the next steps.
Research visitor
Yinzuo Zhou is visiting for one year at the Chair of Microeconomics and at the Center. Her research interests are nonlinear dynamics and complex systems.
SNF Project Signed Networks
The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF) has awarded Prof. Berno Buechel with a research grant for the project Signed Networks: Strategic Network Formation and Centrality. The core research team consists of Berno Buechel (Principal Investigator), Tim Hellmann (Project Partner), and Qingchao Zeng (Postdoctoral Researcher). The official start is on February 1, 2025.
