Biography

Since 2022, I have been a senior researcher in the francophone branch at the Department of Communication and Media Research at the University of Fribourg. In research, I have specialized in the analysis of social media, where I like to combine quantitative with qualitative methods (mixed-methods). I teach media economics, journalism research and quantitative research methods (especially data analysis with R programming) at bachelor level and computational communication science at master level.
Prior to my academic career, I worked for several years as a journalist at Axel Springer in Berlin. There I worked as an editorial data analyst, social media journalist and in the news department of Europe's highest-circulation newspaper, BILD.
