Minor Programme (30 ECTS)

The 30 ECTS-credit complementary minor offers all students at the University of Fribourg the opportunity to discover the world of communication and the media, and to learn the techniques and methods involved. This study programme is aimed at students who are interested in communication and want to master certain tools for their future careers, but do not wish to make this field the priority of their undergraduate studies.

  • First year courses

    "Communication et médias" 30 ECTS

    • Lecture "Sciences et théories de la communication" (3 ECTS)
    • Lecture "Méthodes I" (3 ECTS)
    • Exercise "Exercices Méthodes I" (1.5 ECTS)
    • Lecture "Méthodes II" (3 ECTS)
    • Exercise "Exercices Méthodes II" (1.5 ECTS)

    Total : 12 ECTS

     

  • First to third years courses
    • Lecture "Communication stratégique" (3 ECTS)
    • Proseminar with proseminar paper (3+3 ECTS)
    • 3 courses (= "cours à choix" in French) to be chosen from the DCM offer (9 ECTS)

    To obtain ECTS credits, a written examination and/or written assignment must be completed in each individual course. The complementary subject is acquired when all the lessons have been passed.
