EduKIA

The rise of generative AI is transforming higher education. The EduKIA (2025-2026) project, led by the University of Fribourg and the HES-SO, supports teachers and students in their pedagogical integration through targeted actions aimed at strengthening skills in AI literacy and digital instructional design. This project is funded by swissuniversities, as part of the PgB Open Education & Digital Competencies program.

Objectives:

  • Analyze current uses via a survey and exchanges
  • Define key AI skills for teaching and learning
  • Train teachers and students in the pedagogical uses of AI and develop skills in computational thinking
  • Raise awareness of the ethical, environmental and security issues linked to AI

The project's objectives will be achieved through specific training, adapted resources and a regional event to promote the sharing of knowledge and good practice.

Some of the actions proposed as part of the EduKIA project stem from work carried out during the DigitalSkills@Fribourg project (2021-2024).
