Kilian Schindler teaches and researches early modern literature, with a particular focus on the drama of Shakespeare and his contemporaries. His research interests are grounded in historicist approaches to religious and political conflict in literature (e.g. on questions of religious toleration and early modern constitutionalism), the politics of literary form, and transnational perspectives on English literature.
