New faces at the UniFR_ESH Institute
We are delighted to welcome Miriam Zemanova as research associate. She is joining the UniFR_ESH Institute for research and work on the project 3Rs Principles in Wildlife reserarch. Miriam pursued university degrees in applied ecology, biological conservation, and natural resources management, and obtained her PhD in ecology and evolution with a specialization in population genetics. Her work focuses on wildlife welfare, conservation genetics, and humane education. Find out more about her reserach here.
We are also very excited that Helena Palumbo Fernandez is joining the UniFR_ESH Insitute as a visiting PhD Student this autumn. Helena is a PhD student at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona), in the department of Economics and Business. In 2018 she obtained a Master of Research in Economics, Finance and Management from Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Her current research is interdisciplinary in the fields of Consumer Behaviour, Social Marketing and Social Psychology. Her work is related to societal wellbeing and moral judgements, including environmental protection and sustainable behaviours. In one of her research lines she studies how to promote environmental conservation efforts in people. She has experience teaching Marketing, Social Marketing, and Consumer Behaviour at undergraduate and graduate (Master) level.
