Members can participate in specialized doctoral programs, master's modules, and continuing education initiatives. These programs are interdisciplinary in nature, providing a broader perspective on food science and its many dimensions. Some programs are reserved exclusively for members:
- Our new Doctoral Programme in Food, Nutrition & Health
- The EIT Global Food Venture Programme for PhD students - the Food Center can offer support for participation in the first 2 parts of the program (Introduction to Food Systems) & 2 (Pathways to Impact)

Who is it for?
Membership at the Food Research & Innovation Center (FRIC) is open to academic researchers, professors, PIs, post-doctoral researchers and PhD students from the University of Fribourg and other Swiss and International academic and research organizations who are engaged in food and nutrition-related research. Membership is designed to foster collaboration and innovation across various sectors, ensuring a comprehensive approach to addressing challenges in food science, nutrition and sustainability. We therefore greatly encourage the involvement of interdisciplinary professionals from fields such as psychology, sociology, law, communication, theology, ethics, and education who can contribute to the interdisciplinary research approach of the FRIC.
