27-28.5.2021: 2-day Online Workshop & Lectures "Digital Geographies and Methods"
We are excited to announce a series of online lectures and a 2-day workshop on Digital Geographies and Methods, hosted by the University of Fribourg, Human Geography group on May 27-28, 2021.
The workshop is part of the CUSO Doctoral program in geography and provides participants with the opportunity to explore new approaches to continue research during the ongoing COVID pandemic.
Keynote lectures are open to the wider public and will be delivered by the following invited speakers:
Dr. James Ash (Newcastle University, UK) on “Interface methods for digital geographies“ (27th of May, 10.30 am CET)
Prof. Mathew Zook (Kentucky University, USA) on “Blending digital geography and material spaces“ (27th of May, 13.00 pm CET)
Prof. Elisenda Ardèvol (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Spain) on “Digital ethnographies” (28th of May, 11.30 am CET)

Registration is free but mandatory. Please register by May 20th on the CUSO platform (for CUSO PhD students only) or if you are not part of the CUSO Doctoral program by responding to jevgeniy.bluwstein@unifr.ch, including your full name and institutional affiliation. Please specify if you would like to attend the keynote lectures only, or participate in the entire workshop. Spaces are limited to facilitate discussions, so do sign up if you would like to attend.
