Human Geography Unit

We study nature-society relations and human interactions with the environment across different spatial and temporal scales.

Our research is structured along five overlapping themes that together constitute the discipline of (critical) Human Geography: Political Ecology, Political Geography, Environmental History, Environmental Justice, and Global Environmental Change.

Within the Geography MSc program at the University of Fribourg, we offer the specialization in Nature, Society and Politics.
