The NUCSTRAT project team had the pleasure of participating in the Nuclear Natures autumn school and conference in Sweden, October 7-11, 2024. Participation was strategic as the team's research on the politics of deep geological disposal illustrates how underground substrates (granite in Sweden, clay in Switzerland, and salt in Germany) become nuclear in the course of nuclear waste governance processes.
