As the Center for Faith & Society, we are responsible for the new weekly column "Moment mal" ("Wait a Minute"), which has been published every Saturday in the Freiburger Nachrichten since January 2022. "Saturday – the day before Sunday – is a great opportunity to pause and reflect: 'Wait a minute, how am I supposed to understand that?' or 'What was that again?'"

With these words, the column was first introduced to readers on January 8, 2022.

Thematically, we aim to ensure a coherent thread throughout the series by treating each piece as a positive provocation, underpinned theologically and intended as spiritual food for thought for the weekend. Each column ends with an open question, designed to inspire further reflection and engage a broad, general readership.

We also draw occasional inspiration from the liturgical calendar to gently guide the rhythm of the series.

The team of authors is made up of individuals with strong ties to the region, working either at the Faculty of Theology at the University of Fribourg or within the local church context. The team is coordinated on behalf of the Center for Faith & Society by Dr. Des. Nicolas D. Matter.
