Content Requirements CAS Theses
- Languages: The thesis can be written in English, German, or French.
- Length: The thesis should be between 15 and 20 pages, from the introduction to the conclusion (annexes and tables are excluded).
- Formatting Requirements:
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Font: Times New Roman or Arial, size 12
- Text alignment: Justified
- Margins: 2.5 cm
- Systematic page numbering
- Template: You must use the official thesis template provided by iimt.
- Deadline: 3 months after the last CAS course
- Confidential Data: Special precautions are required if your thesis includes confidential information. Contact iimt for more details.
- References: Follow consistent referencing rules and include a bibliography. APA 7th edition is recommended.

- Number of Pages: A Diploma thesis should have between 20 and 30 pages.
- Formatting Requirements:
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Font: Times New Roman or Arial, size 12

- Margins: 2.5 cm

- Registration form: The thesis is officially registered once the completed and signed registration form has been submitted to the iimt.

Is there a deadline for submitting the CAS thesis?
Normally, the thesis must be submitted 3 months after the last CAS course.
However, it is possible to extend the deadline. To do so, you must send a justified request to the following address: iimt@unifr.ch

Yes, theses can be written in any of the following three languages: French, German, or English.
However, you must ensure that your chosen supervisor is comfortable with the selected language.

How long do I have to wait before receiving my grade for my CAS thesis?
The supervisor has one month to grade the CAS thesis.
