Meet the Fribourg Team 2024-25!

Willem C. Vis Moot is the most prestigious international legal competition in commercial law and arbitration, also known as the "Olympic Games for Law Students", reuniting around 400 universities from both common and civil law jurisdictions.

The Team is supervised by Professor Fountoulakis Christiana. We are deeply grateful to our Supervisor as well as to the University of Fribourg for their support and assistance.

In a historic turn of events, all 3 of our students are born and raised in the canton of Fribourg! Together as a team, they are ready to face the challenges and give their very best in this incredible journey. We wish them best of luck!

Meet Tim Hogg, one of our dedicated participants in the 32nd Willem C. Vis Moot Court!

Now in his third year of a Bachelor's degree in Law at the University of Fribourg, Tim’s passion for law comes from its power to shape societies and create justice.

He’s particularly interested in how international law and arbitration can address the challenges of a globalized world. For Tim, law is about applying principles to solve real-world issues, not just studying theory.

Tim constantly seeks to develop his legal reasoning and advocacy skills. He’s excited to compete alongside his teammates, proudly representing the faculty of law of the Université de Fribourg - Universität Freiburg.
