Have you studied your master with marketing as a major, received a very good degree, written a very good master thesis in the field of marketing, and are you interested in dealing intensively with a scientific topic in the field of marketing? So, how about writing a doctoral thesis?

  • Requirements
    • Master degree of at least 5.0
    • Excellent master thesis in the field of marketing
    • High interest in upscale scientific research
    • Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office and SPSS
    • Very good command of written and spoken English
    • Prior to submitting the dissertation, 30 ECTS must be earned through participation in continuing education courses, conferences, doctoral seminars, etc.
  • Topics/Languages
    • Innovative scientific topics in the whole field of marketing with a clear relevance for marketing practice
    • the supervision/ the writing of the doctoral thesis can be done in German, French or English
  • Duration
    • 3-5 years

  • Financing

    4 options:

     

    • Becoming an assistant at the chair of marketing (if we have free capacities): about 50% of the time working on the doctoral project, the remaining time: working for the chair (giving courses/seminars, supervising student papers, participating in other research projects of the chair, participating in cooperation projects with companies, assisting in the handling of exams)
    • SNF project
    • External doctorate by means of a scholarship
    • External doctorate with accompanying part-time work (no more than 80%)
