Language learning and language teaching: Input and L2 development 

Led by Prof Anita Thomas, the research of this group focuses on the following topics:

  • Learning and teaching French as a foreign or second language
  • Influence of input, input and interaction, stages of acquisition
  • Language and learner corpora
  • Quality of teaching materials

This research group is interested in the learning and teaching of French as a second or foreign language. In particular, it studies the influence of input and its possible role in L2 language development. The group specialises in oral skills.
