Biography

Uberto Motta is full professor of Italian Literature at the University of Fribourg.

After his PhD (1996), he was post-doctoral fellow at the universities of Lausanne, Leuven and Harvard. Between 2003 and 2011 he was a professor of Italian Literature at the Catholic University of Milan. He was a visiting professor at the Orthodox University of St. Tikhon in Moskow, at the University of Novosibirsjk, at the Technical University of Dresden, at the Catholic University of Budapest and at the University of Basel.

He is member of the scientific advisory board of several academic journals.
