SNSF Consolidator Grants 2022 call published , deadline: 1.6 .2022

The SNSF Consolidator Grants are transitional measures aimed at individuals who wanted to apply for an ERC Consolidator Grant 2022.

Eligibility: 7-12 years after PhD.

Applicants can request a budget of up to CHF 1.75 million for a maximum of 5 years. Additional funding of up to CHF 870,000 may be requested for specific costs.

PRIMA and Eccellenza become SNSF Professorial Fellowships

Gender equality measure now directly integrated: The two schemes at the highest level of SNSF career funding are to be merged. The existing PRIMA budget will continue to be reserved for women.

Horizon Europe: Switzerland can now also participate as “associated partner” in Coordination and Support Actions (CSA)

According to new guidance by the European Commission from January 2022, entities from non-associated third countries are now eligible to participate in Coordination and Support Actions (CSA) as ‘associated partners’ (unless the work programme or the grant agreement lays down additional conditions, which must be met to participate in the action).

23.11.2021: SERI published guidelines on the direct federal funding and the opening of a submission platform.

On the SERI website, Swiss Horizon Europe participants who wish to submit an application for direct funding will find two guides describing the most important steps in the funding application process.

The  platform of the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) for applying for national funding for collaborative projects in Horizon Europe is now active: Webform.
