Have you made your New Year's resolutions yet? If not, I have a few ideas for you: how about updating your ORCID? In the medium term, there will be no way around an ORCID profile. We, at the Research Promotion Service (SPR), will be happy to support you should you need it, and also offer further training for this tool. Or how about participating in an EU project? Even though Switzerland is currently only participating in Horizon Europe as a third country, there are many attractive opportunities in the Framework Programme - project partners from Switzerland are simply funded nationally by the State Secretariat for Education, Research, and Innovation (SERI) instead of by the EU. Here, too, the SPR can help advice and support you, being part of the Swiss-wide Euresearch network. 

As the new head of the Research Promotion Service - and as a UniFR alumna - it is important to me that the University of Fribourg's research community successfully participate in national, European, and international project calls. The SPR staff is committed to providing you with the best possible information, advice, and support. We have defined our mission in a team retreat: We help UniFR research flourish! I look forward to working with you, and to many flourishing projects to come!
