The ERC Starting Grant, Synergy Grant, and Consolidator Grant 2025 are open to researchers from Swiss host institutions.

Due to the progress made in the negotiations on future relations between Switzerland and the EU, the EU has implemented the first part of the 2025 transitional arrangements. This enables researchers in Switzerland to participate as beneficiaries in 3 ERC calls: Starting Grant, Synergy Grant and Consolidator Grant 2025. The publication of the ERC Starting Grant is planned for 10 July, with a submission deadline of 15 October 2024. The ERC Synergy Grant is scheduled to open on 11 July and close on 6 November 2024. SERI is optimistic about a further opening of Horizon Europe (calls for proposals 2025) at the end of the year and promises more information in September.

The "Associated Partner" status will remain in place for 2024 calls.
