Data Stewards @ UNIFR
The University of Freiburg provides its researchers with a network of data stewards who are based in the various documentation centres.
As liaison partners, the data stewards are the first point of contact for questions relating to research data. They advise researchers on best practices for managing and publishing their research data throughout the entire data lifecycle.
Upon request from researchers, the Data Stewards can review Data Management Plans (DMP) and provide advice on the backup, storage and long-term archiving of data, taking into account the specificities of the data concerned, practices and ethical and disciplinary requirements. In the case of the OLOS data platform, data stewards can also allocate repository space and provide technical support.
