Bachelor
The Faculty offers Bachelor's degree in many fields of science and medicine. At the Faculty of Science and Medicine, Bachelor studies are bilingual in French and German. This means that some courses are taught in French and others in German, depending on the lecturer's preference, but exercises and exams can always be conducted in the student's preferred language.
The curriculum consists of lectures, exercises and practical work, through which students acquire ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer System). The Bachelor's degree corresponds to 180 ECTS credits acquired over a period of 3 years. One ECTS credit corresponds to approximately 30 hours of work.
Depending on the field of study, the majors correspond to 120, 150 or 180 ECTS credits. The remaining ECTS credits, between 30 and 60, are acquired in the minors.
