At the Faculty of Science and Medicine you can acquire the scientific training to teach at secondary level I schools and baccalaureate schools.

Pedagogical training, as well as the teaching Diplomas, are then provided by the Faculty of Education.

While studies in sciences are always multilingual, the pedagogical training and teacher diplomas are either in French or German. The study conditions and structures are different between the two languages, in part because the education systems are different in French-speaking vs German-speaking Switzerland.
