ALI-IMPACT, a regional and collaborative project to promote healthier food choices in collective restaurants
The Food Research & Innovation Center (FRIC) and the University of Fribourg are joining forces with Grangeneuve as part of the project. Supported by the canton of Fribourg through its agri-food strategy "Fribourg Agri&Food", ALI-IMPACT aims to transform eating habits in the collective catering sector by identifying and activating psychological and marketing levers to promote a balanced diet. The project focuses on analysing consumers' expectations of the collective catering sector and their perception of healthy eating. By combining qualitative and quantitative studies, it will be possible to design and test concrete strategies aimed at positively influencing food choices. These levers will then be implemented and evaluated in real-life conditions, with practical recommendations aimed at canteen managers. By encouraging the adoption of healthier eating habits, ALI-IMPACT is part of a public health approach, targeting young people, students and employees.
Prof. Olivier Furrer (Department of Management and Chair of Marketing), Prof. Simone Munsch (Department of Psychology) and Dr. Leah Gilbert (Department of Psychology) represent the FRIC as part of a cross-disciplinary team that also includes Grangeneuve (Development and Innovation sector) and its restaurant, as well as the Mensa of the University of Fribourg.
