Research scholarships of the University of Fribourg

The Rectorate of the University of Fribourg awards scholarships to doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers whose place of residence is abroad and who wish to complete a research stay at Unifr for five, respectively three, months.

The research project, the collaboration with a Unifr-professor and the justification of why the research must take place at Unifr are key elements of an application for a Unifr scholarship.

There are two deadlines every year:

• 28 February for stays starting on the following 1 September at the earliest (the application link will be published on 1 October)
• 30 June for stays starting the following 1 February at the earliest (the application link will be published on 1 May)
