More intercultural exchange thanks to Shuffle App
To better connect local and international students on campus through common interests and thus promote cultural exchange as well as international exchange at the university - that is the goal of the Shuffle App. The University of Fribourg is the first Swiss university to participate in this pilot project to promote integration between local and international students by means of an app.
Shuffle is a social app developed by students for students with the aim of promoting interaction between local and international students through gamification* as well as helping international students integrate in Switzerland. The result is user-created virtual activity cards that are used as a means of cultural exchange between the two communities. Thanks to the innovative app, international and national students find like-minded people with whom they can exchange, meet and do things with. The exchange of these cards promotes the integration of international students and enriches the lives of local students - a win-win strategy.
"Shuffle stemmed from the idea of mixing and mingling people, to create new connections and build bridges across various student communities. Shuffle is playful at heart, using playing cards and activities to bring people together!", says Anoushka from the Shuffle team.
Students at the University of Fribourg are now invited to try Shuffle during the 23-24 academic year. The app is free of charge.
Login should be done with the @unifr.ch email address.
Problems can be reported directly to the Shuffle team via the app or via contact@makeitshuffle.ch.
