IRO for Researchers

Travelling Abroad as a Unifr Researcher

Researchers at the University of Fribourg who have a work contract with the University can benefit from the same IRO services as all staff members.

Researchers at doctoral level are considered students and can therefore also use the IRO services for students.

The website of the Office of Research Support offers numerous other mobility and funding options, such as:

  • Doc.Mobility for graduate assistants at the University of Fribourg who wish to deepen their doctoral studies through a research stay at an academic institute abroad before returning to Unifr to complete their dissertation.
  • The Unifr Centenary Research Fund is aimed at Unifr researchers and aims to support research activities that contribute to the intellectual impact of the institution.
  • The research pool aims to dynamise research at Unifr by supporting projects that cannot be financed by other sources.

Application deadlines can be found in the Open Calls for Researchers agenda.
