Getting to Fribourg
By Plane
Switzerland’s three international airports are in Zürich, Geneva, and Basel. All three are at about the same distance from Fribourg and can be reached using public transportation.
By Train
Fribourg is located on the railroad that connects Geneva, Lausanne, Bern, and Zurich. It is thus easy to reach Fribourg by train. You will find schedules and tickets on the website of the SBB: the Swiss Federal Railway Company.
By Car
If you are arriving by car, please keep in mind that you need a toll pass (called vignette) to use the highways (Autobahn in German or autoroute in French). You can purchase your vignette upon crossing the border or online.
